Laura Hogan
Senior Speech & Language Therapist

 

Limerick Speech and Language Therapy is managed by Laura Hogan, Senior Speech and Language Therapist. Laura graduated from University College Cork with a B.A.hons in Applied Psychology in 2003 and a Masters of Science in Speech and Language Therapy in 2006. Laura completed her training in Adult acquired neurological Dyphagia from the Adelaide and Meath Children's Hospital, Dublin in 2008.

Laura has extensive experience working with both children and adults with a variety of communication impairments in acute hospital, outpatient rehabilitation, community, autism classes, nursing homes, home, schools, special schools and clinical settings. Laura has a high level of specialism in speech and language delays/disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorders, paediatric and adult stammering, adult dysphagia (swallowing), Apraxia of speech and Aphasia.

Limerick Speech and Language Therapy is committed to evidence based practise. Laura is committed to continuing professional development and has completed extensive training to include LÁMH, PECS (Picture exchange communication system), the Lidecombe program, the Nuffield Dyspraxia program, Autism Diagnostic Observation Scale(ADOS), Elklan, Solution focused brief therapy, family centred practise, Hanen, talktools, auditory integration training, Caroline Bowen Speech sound disorders, Parkinsons conference, IASLT conferences among others.

Laura is a member of the Irish Association of Speech and Language Therapists and is fully registered with CORU.



Sarah Moran
Sarah Moran
Speech & Language Therapist
 

Sarah is a qualified Speech and Language Therapist, having completed the MSc in Speech and Language Therapy from the University of Limerick. Her training focused on the evidence-based assessment, intervention, and management of communication disorders, as well as Feeding, Eating, Drinking and Swallowing (FEDS) difficulties. Sarah’s qualification is recognised by CORU, the regulatory body for health and social care professionals in Ireland.

Sarah has gained valuable clinical experience supporting individuals with speech, language, communication, and swallowing needs across a variety of settings, including hospitals, schools, primary care, and private practice. She has worked with both children and adults presenting with Speech Sound Delays and Disorders, Language Delays, Developmental Language Disorder (DLD), Autism Spectrum Disorder, Global Developmental Delay, Intellectual Disabilities, Voice Disorders, Aphasia, Dysarthria, and Dysphagia.

Sarah has completed Communication Partner Training and is trained in Lámh Module One. She is passionate about delivering holistic, evidence-based care that is tailored to each client’s unique needs and supports their wider family and community.


Nicole Long
Clinic Co-ordinator

Nicole graduated from the Technological University of the Shannon (formerly known as Limerick Institute of Technology) with an BBS Honours in Law and Taxation in 2018. She has over six years of administrative and customer-facing experience gained through her work in the financial sector. Nicole has developed strong communication skills through regular interaction with a diverse range of individuals. Nicole plays a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic.
